An energetic “dynamite” from Crammed Discs’ roster. In the European music market, it is unanimously considered one of the best live bands, a sure element of festival line-ups that never fails to liven up even the most passive audience. The band is fronted by a singer and visual artist, South Africa-born Catarina Dahms and the Dutch music producer Jori Collignon. Their style is a mixture of many languages and trends such as afro beat, electro, ska or dancehall. The band’s debut album “Riot in the Jungle” was recorded during the journey across Catarina’s homeland, but the mixing and the final editing were completed in Amsterdam. It offers a unique synthesis of African rhythms and sounds with excellent contemporary production that characterises new European electronic music.
