T’ien Lai –  an organic and synthetic dance quartet established in 2012 by Łukasz Jędrzejczak (So Slow, Alameda 5) and Kuba Ziołek (Stara Rzeka, Innercity Ensemble) as a result of their search for new forms of meditative electronic and electroacoustic music. Their debut album “Da’at”, released by Monotype Records in 2013 evoked the sounds of old Polish People Republic’s “Śnieżka” radios processed via guitar effects and superimposed on synthesiser loops. These adventures ended with well-received gigs at the Unsound Festival in Cracow (2012) and Monotype Zone in Warsaw (2014). The duet also recorded a second album called “RHYTHM” , released in autumn 2015 that concluded their experiments with pulse music and explorations of various dimensions of rhythm.  “RHYTHM” featured music that was more lively and energetic- the effect of musicians’ work in  Alameda 5 and Innercity Ensemble. Since the beginning of 2015, T’ien Lai has been performing as a quartet. New members joined: Rafał Kołacki (Hati, Innercity Ensemble, Mammoth Ulthana) and Mikołaj Zieliński (Alameda 3, Alameda 5, Rara)  playing on the African percussion and drums. Jędrzejczak and Ziołek have returned to strictly synthetic sounds, that are juxtaposed live with the organic sounds of the percussion instruments. The result is a music veering between quasi-shaman trance and raw, almost industrial electronic rhythm and even pastiches of contemporary techno. The band plays and improvises live, without using computers.

Rafał Iwański (X-NAVI:ET) –  sound artist, percussionist and ethnologist by education. He makes electroacoustic music based on sounds of electronic and acoustic instruments that are analogue-modified as well as on recovered sounds.  Co-founder and musician in Hati (with Rafał Kołacki), Kapitał (with Kuba Ziółek) and Innercity ensemble, since 2014 he has been a part of Alameda 5. He worked on audiovisual projects: Aqualuna (with Anna Pilewicz) and VOICES OF THE COSMOS (with Wojciech Zięba and Sebastian Soberski- a radio observer from the Astronomy Centre at the Mikołaj Kopernik University in Toruń). Iwański played solo and with bands at dozens of  gigs in Poland, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Austria, Spain, Switzerland, Norway, France, Denmark, Lithuania, Hungary and the USA, including with other artists such as  Z’EV, Richard Pinhas, Peter Votava, Jerzy Mazzoll, Jeff Gburek, John Zorn, Anna Zielińska, Wojtek Jachna, Jacek Buhl, Raymond Salvatore Harmon, Xavier Bayle. He participated in the recording and production of a number of albums released on digital media, vinyl records and cassettes. A member of the Polish Association of Electroacoustic Music. As part of HATI, he conducted sound workshops based on the idea of recycling. In November 2015,  the label Wounded Knife released a mini-album signed X-NAVI:ET; released on cassette, it was titled  “Vox Paradox”.
