The Day of Poetry is the Day of Death” and “Taustsila and the Beam” – a meeting promoting the Polish edition of Andrei Adamovich’s books (Lublin: Warsztaty Kultury 2017)

Andrei Adamovich (b. 1984 in Minsk) –  poet, prose writer, journalist. One of the most interesting contemporary Belarusian writers. In 2012 he received an award for the best poetry debut in Belarus for his collection “Дзень паэзіі смерці дзень” (The Day of Poetry is the Day of Death”. He has won a number of awards for young writers and poets and taken part in numerous poetry festivals. His poetry is translated into Lithuanian, Polish, Russian and Ukrainian.

In 2016 “Taustsila and the Beam”  received 3rd  prize in J.Giedroyc Literary Award  This award has been given since 2011  for the best prose written in the Belarusian language. It is co-founded by the Embassy of Poland in Belarus, the Polish Institute in Minsk, the Belarusian PEN Centre, and the Union of Belarusian Writers.
