Different Sounds will play at Tarasy Zamkowe Shopping Centre!

Stages on Błonia, Próba Cafe patio or the courtyard of the Lublin Castle are likely to attract fans of good music but the performers of this year’s festival will also play at  Tarasy Zamkowe Shopping Centre for the first three days of the festival (5-7 July). The concerts will take the form of musical performances and the most interesting young musicians from Ukraine, Belarus and Georgia will present original fusions of various music styles.

Programme:

5 July | 12.00-12:30 Mustelide | Belarus

Mustelide is the artistic alias of Natalia Kunitskaya, a music producer, DJ and songwriter from Minsk. The performer, hailed “electronic princess” in Belarus, has been taking Eastern Europe by the storm. In 2014, the Russian record label Soyuz Music released her debut album “Secret”, named the best indie album of the year.  A track from this album was on the Top 30 charts of  San Francisco-based Radio SomaFM. On the same day, Mustelide is scheduled to perform at the Festival Club on Błonia at 23:20.

6 July 2017 | 12:00-12:30 Tik Tu | Ukraine

An indie rock band from Ternopil whose music fuses folk with more contemporary pop, psychedelic rock and even offers excursions towards electronic music. This young and very promising band from Ukraine offers catchy tunes and chorus mixed with spontaneity and unpretentiousness. Tik Tu’s concerts are like a rock’n’roll summer breeze and on stage, aside from great music, we are likely to enjoy great costumes and props. Tik Tu also performs a day before at Festival Club on Błonia at 19:00.

7 July 2017 | 12:00-12:30 Mebo Renard | Georgia

An excellent duet from Georgia whose members derive from the popular band BearFox that was also a hit in Lublin during Different Sounds 2014. Mebo (vocals, guitar) and Archibald (percussion, percussion instruments) are two young boys from Tbilisi that have already given a fair number of gigs. Aside from the fact that they create very melodic hit songs, they also connect well with the audience. Georgian music has been developing in recent years, gaining recognition abroad and Mebo Renard is an excellent example. Mebo Renard will also be heard on the same day at Festival Club on Błonia at 18:00
