Tales of Eastern Wonders – „Nazar the Brave” and Other Armenian Fables

„Nazar the Brave” – stories based on the fables by Howhannes Tumanian, specially translated from Armenian for the sake of the play by Jerzy Szokalski, PhD. The stories revolve round the traditional theme of pursuit of happiness; however, their developments and plot twists reach beyond the fable-like formulaic typical of Europe. The Armenian local colour that these stories are typified by is given centre stage by means of original, often subversive humour. Whether you are young or old, a child or an adult, feel invited to hear these riveting stories.

Storytellers: Grupa Studnia O. (Małgorzata Litwinowicz, Jarek Kaczmarek). Music: Artash Sharoyan
