Cheer-Accident is a critically-acclaimed band that is acknowledged as one of the precursors of indie rock. The beginnings of this Thymme Jones-led Chicago-based group date back to 1981 and practically since then the band has been an active player on the alternative scene. During their career they have recorded over twenty albums, cooperating with among others Steve Albini (of the Shellac fame) and Gastr del Sol.
Cheer-Accident have so far once played in Poland and still have fond memories of the gig. Appearing in Lublin for the first time ever as part of the East of Culture – Different Sounds Festival, Cheer-Accident will provide the residents of Lublin and tourists alike with an opportunity to check out what indie rock is really all about and what the genesis of this enormously popular genre is.
