Abstract music storytelling #OPENelectronic
The debut album of M8N (the pseudonim of Miron Grzegorkiewicz), ULSSS has been made in 8 parts. Between March 2017 and October 2017, on the 8th day of each month we had a new episode. The episode series makes up a map of an undiscovered world in which U. is the central character. Each new part is like a page wrenched from a travel diary and only once all is collected, the full meaning emerges.
The album was launched on 18.01.2018. The material on Miron Grzegorkiewicz’s debut album was inspired by the artist’s various recordings from the last decade. How they transformed constitutes an example of a subjective memory map. To create this map with him Miron invited: Karolina Rec, Mateusz Franczak, Kamil Pater, Jacek Mazurkiewicz, Marek Karolczyk, Grzegorz Mańko, Barbara Kinga Majewska, Krzysztof Dziubka, Adam Podniesiński, Irek Wojtczak and Pete Simonelli.
Miron Grzegorkiewicz (1987) – has been weaving his artistic history since the first half of the 2000s. Musician, producer, interaction designer, noncertified theatrologist, an enthusiast of all kinds of visual arts. He can be heard in such bands as JAAA!, HOW HOW, Daktari, SHMIB or PTKCSS, with whom he performed, among others, at Open’er (Gdynia), Off Festival (Katowice), Tauron New Music (Katowice), New Tradition (Warsaw), New Jewish Music (Warsaw), JazzBezz (Ukraine), JazzFest (Berlin), c/o pop Festival (Cologne), Reeperbahn (Hamburg), Primavera Sound (Barcelona). He took part, among others in, SIM improvisation workshops (The School of Improvisational Music, Ny, USA), the resident of the project Playback Play organized by Michał Libera.
