Ukryte Zalety Systemu (whose name translates to “Hidden Benefits of the System”) is a Wrocław-based band playing post-punk and new wave releasing albums in the cult label Antena Krzyku. Today, it’s definitely one of the most interesting alternative music bands. As they say, initially they formed pretty much to play a few concerts and close up shop but fortunately that didn’t happen. Ukryte Zalety Systemu will come to Lublin on Friday, 13 December. All fans of “different sounds” should save this date.

UZS compose sounds that are simultaneously sharp and cold. The raw rhythms of tense bass and despotic electroverb are superimposed with cutting guitar, minimalist old-school keyboards and two chanting voices echoing the song traditions of the 1980s – with allusions to neue deutsche welle, the British progeny of punk rock and Polish artists from the lavel Stilon Gorzów – especially courtesy of Polish lyrics commenting social reality in scarce and understated imagery. They established the band mid-2013, gave a lot of concerts in Poland and abroad, among others at OFF Festival. They released two albums in Antena Krzyku: „s/t” (2015) and “Sposób użycia” (2019), which they are still promoting in concerts.
