Different Sounds Zone presents: Wojciech Bąkowski
Wojciech Bąkowski was born in 1979 in Poznań. He’s an artist, poet, director of animated films and videos, author of audio performances and alternative music, the front man of the bands KOT, Czykita and Niwea. He is also known by the stage name WuEsBe and is a member of the artistic group Penerstwo. Winner of “Paszport Polityki” award 2010, the protagonist of the film “Serce Miłości” (Heart of Love) by Łukasz Ronduda (2017). For the past several years, he has been releasing albums under his own name. Dunno Records will release his newest album “Jazz Duo” in autumn 2018.
Bąkowski’s albums are intimate encounters with technology. He downloads samples from websites featuring free sounds and uses them to make collages peppered with terse observations of his reality and internal life.

Different Sounds Zone is a cycle of concerts featuring original performers, most interesting independent record labels and a variety of musical genres and their arresting combinations. This cycle is a continuation of the summer festival East of Culture- Different Sounds. and allows us to abandon musical routine and experience new sounds.
