Little Different Sounds: Evoking the Sounds of Thunderstorm

Searching for sounds often ends with an attempt to create your own instrument. This process lets us journey across the worlds of culture, sound and rhythms. “Evoking the sounds of thunderstorms” is a workshop during which the participants will make innovative, little-known instruments perfect for accompanying drums. The sound of instruments, mostly made of natural materials will be used as background music for a family concert planned for the final meeting. This unique instrument will be an excellent opportunity to talk about music, not only in the context of leading instruments or melodic line. The instruments created during the workshop will be decorated so that every young artist can give their instruments a custom, unique characteristics. The big advantage of the instrument is that everyone can learn to play it very fast. The instrument can be used during plays and rhythmic activities.
