Little Different Sounds | Music workshops for kids and young people

East of Culture – Different Sounds (6-9 July, Lublin) goes beyond concerts, films, exhibitions, and discussions. It also offers special workshops for children and young people, which this year are part of the celebrations for the European Youth Capital Lublin 2023! Łukasz „Siwy” Staniewski will teach older participants the art of beatboxing, while Magda Dubrowska will assist them in creating their own song. They can also record a music video and receive guidance from Belarusian artist Alena Hrybianchuk in designing graffiti. Younger participants can join music workshops inspired by Edwin Elias Gordon’s Music Learning Theory, create their own sound cards with recordings of creatures they design, and build new instruments based on a book by Dominika Czerniak-Chojnacka. Mark your calendars for July 6th to July 9th, 2023, as Lublin becomes the vibrant host city for the 16th edition of Different Sounds and its 10th iteration as part of  the East of Culture project, a collaborative effort between the National Centre for Culture and three cities in eastern Poland: Lublin, Białystok, and Rzeszów. This remarkable endeavour is made possible with the generous support of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
