TOPOWA! is an inspiring documentary that celebrates the power of music to change lives. We follow 12 teachers, many of whom grew up in the slums of Uganda. We begin the journey in Katwe, one of Kampala’s biggest slums and end up on the world’s most prominent music stages famous for the performances by the jazz legend Wynton Marsalis and the renowned trumpeter Alison Balsom.
The film shows the power of music and talks about the charity Brass for Africa involved in the music education of children and teens in Uganda, Liberia and Rwanda.
