Ścianka | Different Sounds Zone
Ścianka is a cult Polish alternative band which was created in 1994 in Sopot. Their style is difficult to define – it combines the raw energy of pre-punk with the madness of free-jazz. In Lublin the group will present their latest project, “Niezwyciężony” (The Invincible) which will be performed live exclusively in December in a few selected venues in Poland. The band has also prepared a number of musical surprises for those who remember their earlier albums.

About the project “Ścianka – The Invincible”
My name is Lem, Stanisław Lem. Haven’t you read Lem?
The new album by the legend of Polish alternative music consists of two 20-minute trips into space.
The story is: in January 2013 Audioteka, an audiobook service, asked the band to record music for an audio play based on the novel “The Invincible” by Stanisław Lem. The audio play premiered in May and quickly became a bestseller. In 2015 band members listened to the recording and picked two 20-minute tracks. One is an ecstatic journey through a starry space, and the other depicts a rover’s scouting expedition deep into a desert planet. The album is scheduled to premiere on 1 December 2015. The album will be available for purchase exclusively in the online store myshitinyourcoffee.com and at December concerts in Gdańsk, Warsaw, Cracow, Lublin and Łódź during which Ścianka will perform “The Invincible” live.
