Fronted by Marc Hollander, the founder and director of Crammed Discs, this avant rock band is coming to Lublin to introduce this distinguished label. Two years ago, we presented two countercultural legends from the Czech Republic – DG 307 and most of all Plastic People of the Universe. Aksak Maboul enjoy a similar iconic status in Western Europe, as seen, for instance, in their joint albums with Fred Frith and Chris Cutler as well as in their participation in Rock in Opposition Movement in the 1970s and 80s. The band’s performances are characterised by skilfully built moods and their style is best defined by the nimble handling of different genres and the revolutionary spirit that has been accompanying Aksak Maboul from its inception. This concert is a must for fans of the alternative music scene.
