Waldemar Tatarczuk/Narek Avetisyan (Poland/Armenia)

Waldemar Tatarczuk – born in 1964 in Siemiatycze. Professionally involved in performance art since 1989. His works often revolve round the issues of history and religion. Most notable works: Bread – Wine – Blood (1990), Steps (1997), 21 (2001), Questions (2003). Curator of many Performance Art Festivals, founder and curator of the Lublin Performance Art Centre, co-founder of the Zachęta Association of Fine Arts. Since 2010, Head of the Labirynt Gallery in Lublin.

Narek Avetisyan – born in 1969 in Armenia. Graduate of Panos Terlemezian Art College and the Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Yerevan. He is one of the most influential artists in post-Soviet Armenia and a representative of the first generation of the avant-garde in his home country. A founding member of the Akt Group, whose work is informed by their motto: „New Country, New Art.” Since 2011, member of the Union of Armenian Artists. Works and lives in Yerevan.
