Yat-Kha is a world phenomenon. Hailing from remote Tuva, the artists – who are the masters of throat singing that is native to their homeland – play, perform and record with the greatest names in the music business.
Albert Kuvezin, the leader of the group, is considered in some circles a cult figure. Co-founder of legendary Huun-Huur-Tu, guitarist, lyricist, traditional Tuvan music and folklore pundit, he is simultaneously an advocate of heavy guitar riffs as well as punk and hard core sounds.
To see Yat-Kha live is to experience mysticism. One cannot simply imagine a better synthesis of the Western avant-garde and modernity with Eastern lyricism and spirituality.
