The Romanticists – Armenian cinema

It is the story of Oscar, an Armenian actor, who has dreamed of going to Hollywood and becoming famous for many years. When he wins the Green Card lottery, it seems that his dream has come true. But everything changes during a farewell party organized by his friends. A series of unexpected and absurd events leads to a tragedy.
Areg Azatyan – a director, screenwriter, writer and producer, born in 1986 in Yerevan in Armenia. A graduate of the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema. Since 2004 he has been working in the first independent film studio in Armenia – Plus Film Aysor Productions. Areg is the author of four books and has won a number of international literary prizes. He has directed three short films based on his own stories, which were presented at more than 30 international film festivals. „The Romanticists” is his first feature film.
Shoghik Tadevosyan – a director, screenwriter and producer, born in 1986 in Yerevan, Armenia. A graduate of the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema. Since 2007 she has been working in the first independent film studio in Armenia – Plus Film Aysor Productions. „The Romanticists” is her first feature film.
